It was true.. My kids think that the WiFi in the mountains isn't that great. It's just a small hill. However, it is within the normal range of mobile phone networks. This means that my kids will need to explore the area to find better internet speeds while I and my wife set an area for camping. This is a great place for us to stay for several days. There's a small river nearby , which provides clean water even though we don't have any. That's right, too.. My wife is unable to camp without a good supply of water that is fresh and we carry our fresh water majority of the times.
As my children continue to update their social media profiles I'm taking in the view. The hill isn't too big. It's surrounded by many more. My wife is the sole one to insist on doing this, perhaps partly because she know how much I enjoy being in the wild. However, my children, they're a different story totally. So, after two trips in which there was no internet and regular internet on our smartphones kept going into and out of use and out of service, we decided to be prepared. My wife and I decided that we would prepare for the day when our kids won't be able to access the internet for more than 10 mins. We came up with two entertainment sources that we can access whenever the internet isn't available when we go camping. One of them was a tablet that is filled with music videos as well as current charts topping songs. The best Youtube MP3 converter was able to take songs from YouTube and convert them to MP3 files which we could then download onto our tablet. It was also able use playlists, which means it was extremely fast, even though it sounds terrible. If you're experiencing boredom or sadness, it was possible to listen to music, view videos, and - luckily for us all! - hear audio through headphones equipped with blue tooth. This is great, right?! The second tablet was mainly TV shows and cartoons we've downloaded from Hulu or Netflix. The quality isn't the greatest but it's something, we have several seasons of Breaking Bad there, and many cartoons such as Family Guy and Disenchantment. It was enjoyable and easy. Tablet 2 was introduced a few trips after tablet 1, but it was there when we finally got to The Wild. My kids were hooked and watching shows. A few DIY videos were added by me, including the building of a tent and making fresh-caught fish skins. Things you would never do in the city. The videos I downloaded from Youtube then converted to MP4 and saved to my tablet. It's easier to have video on your tablet even when you are working.
These two tricks will keep my kids entertained for four of our camping outings. Even my kids don't mind going out because they know that tablet 2 is there to assist them through boring downtime. They'll also take the tablet home whenever they're prepared. I've never felt more content. I love being with my family.
